Traditional Chinese Medicine development and Global Goals

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) development can contribute to achieving global goals in various ways: SDG 3 – Good health and well-being: TCM emphasizes a holistic approach to healthcare, providing alternative and affordable healthcare options, focusing on prevention and promoting overall well-being. SDG 9 – Indusatry, innovation and infrastructure TCM promotes innovation in healthcare, inclusive healthcare systems, infrastructure development, and research collaboration. SDG 11 – Sustainable cities and communities: Preserving and promoting traditional knowledge through TCM development, by recognizing the value of indigenous practices and cultural diversity SDG 12 – Responsible consumption and production: The sustainable sourcing and cultivation of medicinal plants for TCM; SDG 15 – Life on land: TCM often utilizes plant-based medicines derived from diverse herbs and botanicals, protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems


About JCI Kowloon
JCI Kowloon was established in 1965 and is the second most senior chapter among the 21 chapters of Junior Chamber International Hong Kong. We aim to provide development opportunities for young people to learn from the 3 JC paths: Project Management, Chapter Management and Training, so as to create positive changes to themselves and to the community.
Members in JCI Kowloon include entrepreneurs, professionals and executives. Over the years, we have organised and launched a number of impactful projects for the betterment of the community and members. Through the unique platform of learning by doing offered by Junior Chamber International, our members not only grow personally but also expand their business network.
